We provide the mandatory courses required to obtain a
Canadian Firearms License and Ontario Hunting Licenses.

Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC)

Successful completion of this course is required to apply for a Canadian Firearms Licence (PAL). For non-restricted firearms, such as typical shotguns and rifles used for hunting and sport shooting. After in-class instruction, students must pass a written and practical test, both completed on the same day.

Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC)

Successful completion of this course is required to apply for a Licence for Restricted Firearms, including most handguns and short autoloading rifles. The CFSC is a prerequisite, and students must be at least 18 years old to enroll. A written and practical test must be passed, both completed on the same day.

Ontario Hunter Education Course

Successful completion of this course is required to obtain an Ontario Hunting Licence. It covers ethical hunting, wildlife conservation, firearm safety, and hunting laws to promote responsible practices. After in-class instruction, students must pass a written test to complete certification.

We are passionate about hunting, shooting sports and firearms safety. We want to help people get the training and certifications they need to become a part of the hunting and sport shooting community. Licenced gun owners in Canada have a long history of safe and responsible firearms use and we want to help continue that tradition.

Steps to getting your

Firearms and Hunting Licenses:

  • Determine which course(s) you need
  • Choose a course date and location
  • Click Book Now and complete the registration form
  • Make a payment through the secure PayPal payment system
  • Review course information and frequently asked questions
  • Attend and successfully complete the course(s) and tests
  • Receive your official proof of successfully completing the course and test in the mail (4-6 weeks)
  • Apply for your firearms licence through the RCMP firearms program; or your hunting licence through Service Ontario.
