Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC)
Successful completion of this is required before applying for a Canadian Firearms Licence (PAL). It is for anyone wanting to possess or acquire non-restricted firearms (typical shotguns and rifles used for hunting and sport shooting) After completing the in-class instruction, a written and practical test must be passed. Tests are completed on the same day.
Fee: $200
The CFSC prepares students with beginner level knowledge on the responsibilities of possessing and using non-restricted firearms, their safe use and handling, as well as storage of firearms and ammunition. The course takes 9.5 hours to complete not including the written and practical test. This course is normally completed in 1 day, with a 7:30am start time. Exams are completed in the evening immediately following the course.

- Safe storage, display, transportation, and handling of firearms
Requirements:
- Open to ages 12+
- Government issued photo ID required for those 18+
- Under 18 years require: Government issued ID, Parent government photo ID, and signed parent consent form.
- Minors who successfully complete the CFSC course can apply for a Minor’s Licence
Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC)
Successful completion of the CRFSC is required for anyone wanting to apply for a Licence for Restricted Firearms. Restricted firearms are usually handguns, or short autoloading rifles. The basic Canadian Firearms Safety Course is a Prerequisite to this course. You must be 18 years old to take this course.
Fee: $190
The training provided in the CRFSC prepares students with beginner level knowledge on the responsibilities of possessing and using restricted firearms, their safe use and handling as well as storage of firearms and ammunition. This course is typically required for those seeking employment as armed guards or with Canada Border Services. The course takes 7 hours to complete not including the written and practical test.

Ontario Hunter Education Course
This course is a requirement for getting an Ontario Hunting Licence. The course is designed to instill responsible hunting practices to respect hunting regulations, prevent accidents and ensure public safety.
Fee: $150

- 10+ days notice, reschedule with no additional fee;
- Less than 10 days notice, reschedule with $50 admin fee added;
- No show, no refund.
